How to Grow Garlic in Containers

It doesn’t matter what the season, it’s never too late or early to plant garlic, especially if you plant in containers!

We’ve had great success growing carrots and onions in containers and have decided to grow our early summer garlic in containers this winter.

By using containers we are able to control the growing environments both in the fall, when the garlic is first taking root, and in spring, when we can control how early they emerge from their winter slumber.

We will control this by bringing the containers into our attached garage.

Our technique couldn’t be any simpler.  As a matter of fact, when I filmed this video it was raining cats and dogs outside.  That didn’t stop us from getting our planting project completed in our warm, dry garage.

What are some of your favorite herbs and veggies to grow in containers?  Please let us know by leaving a comment.

Welcome to Enjoy Time Gardening!

You found it!  Thank you for stopping by.

As I’m sure you have noticed,  EnjoyTimeGardening.com is still under development.

I have had this domain registered but parked for quite some time.  The time has come to get it up and running and get some great content over here.

Currently I have been posting some of my gardening and cooking content and videos on my EnjoyTimeOutdoors.com site.

The gardening content may somewhat fit there, but the cooking stuff really doesn’t (unless we’re talking about grilling or camp cooking).

Moving forward, the majority of the gardening, landscaping, and Permaculture content can be found, where else but, EnjoyTimeGardening.com.  Of course, the cooking, recipes, and food-related stuff will be published over at EnjoyTimeCooking.com.

I will slowly be moving some of the existing content to their rightful domains and all new content should be published where it belongs- Outdoors, Cooking, and/or Gardening. Some stuff will cover more than one and I’ll figure those out as I go.

Again, Thank You for visiting.  Please SUBSCRIBE and you will get spam-free email updates when I add new gardening, landscaping, Permaculture-related projects, and much, much more!

Wishing you a healthy and happy day,

Steve.
